Live roll grizzlies, mod. GD, are particularly sturdy machines, able to work in any condition. They are perfect for pre-screening and for cleaning large rocks or materials in general, even if they contain high percentages of moisture and dirty materials. It is composed of a carrying frame on which the roller-carrying shafts are fixed and connected by transmission chains. The grooved roller shafts mounted one in front of the other create virtually squared opening thus forming a kind of grizzly for the passage of waste material. The particular shape of the rollers conveys wave-like movement to the machine surface. The material transported in this manner is jolted to facilitate screening and to prevent clogging in that it is the material itself that keeps the rollers clean. The whole mechanism is driven by an electric motor and gearbox.
